Travel to your favourite sporting events
RVs make the perfect home base that allows you to attend events that are further away from home. Whether you are a sports fanatic, travelling to see a race, a horseshow, a bike event or a hockey game, or a competitor yourself, an RV makes life so much easier. You can tailgate during the event, and have a roof over your head if the weather turns bad. And you can cook up a hot meal, have a cold drink or take a nap when you need to.
Do your kids need to travel to a competition?
When your children and their friends on the team need to compete in a match or competition being held at the other side of the province, why not go there in your RV? Or maybe it is your dog who is the competitor in your family! Sometimes they must compete several times over 1 or 2 days, so what is better than having a place to eat and rest-up when they need to. This also keeps the cost of the trip down, so the whole family can go along too for moral support.
Visit museums, art galleries or shows
If you are an art junky or maybe love anything historical, or have hobbies that you love to pursue, then take a weekend trip. Visit those museums or art exhibitions on your list. Or when you see a show advertised that you would dearly love to see, go in the RV so that you can get there the night before, and spend a complete day at the show (to really get your money's worth), and get a good night's sleep before the journey home.
Are you a big music fan?
Travel to another city when your favorite singer or band is giving a concert. Or when you find out that the symphony orchestra in another province is performing music by your favorite composer, take the trip with your RV, knowing that you will not have the additional expense of hotels and restaurants. Before you leave buy their CD so that you can listen on your own RV stereo before you go to bed.
Make trips to add to your collections
Are you an avid collector? Is your passion French porcelain, rare books, clocks or antiques. Maybe you are a gardener and want to add to your collection of herbs, ornamental grasses or water lilies for your pond. How about trips to find new sources of crafts, or collectibles for your home. If you go in your RV, you can take as long as you like to browse, and load up your vehicle with your new found treasures.
