Earlybird RV Show and Sale Opens Today |

(Abbotsford, B.C.) February 4, 2010, Go RVing Canada reports that consumers should not delay purchasing recreational vehicles as the economy recovers and prices return to gaining momentum. “Prior to the global economic downturn, RVs were selling in record numbers throughout the country because Canadians of all ages and lifestyles were realizing the benefits associated with this lifestyle--such as flexibility and vacation cost savings,” said Go RVing Canada spokesperson Catherine Fortin LeFaivre. Fortin LeFaivre said that although RV buyers were treated to low prices in 2009, 2010 will see prices slowly gain momentum again as more Canadians emerge from the fears of a prolonged recession and decide to hit the RV showrooms. Consumer price data from Statistics Canada showed that 2009 prices were as low as those in early 2001. “As a consequence to the economy recovering, Canadians interested in buying RVs should not delay their purchases. There are still good deals to be had out there—but probably not for long.” At the heart of RVing’s popularity, even in times of relative economic insecurity, are the costsavings associated with the lifestyle. Go RVing Canada recently released the results of a study, conducted by PKF Consulting, which found that typical RV vacations are up to 75 per cent less expensive per day than any other type of family trip, regardless of trip duration, distance, or location. Winter RV shows are great opportunities for potential RV buyers to see what their area dealers are offering all under one roof. The 2010 Earlybird RV Show & Sale opens today and runs until Sunday, February 7th at the Tradex Trade & Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford.
