DISCOVER CANADA THE EASY WAY IN A CLASS "B" MOTORHOME! |
| Nothing beats the freedom of travelling across Canada in a fully self-contained recreational vehicle. While RVs are available in a very wide range of styles and sizes, the most manoeuvrable and convenient way to tour the continent is in the Class "B" motorhome, generally referred to as a Camper Van. These unique vehicles utilize a van chassis as the basis for a fully equipped compact motorhome. The manufacturer replaces the standard steel roof with a raised fibreglass laminated section, adds picture windows, outfits the vehicle with galley, sleeping, and washroom facilities, and transforms the van into one of the most comfortable and compact motorhomes on the road today. There are many benefits to travelling in a motorhome. You eliminate the cost of hotels and motels, and simply pull in to one of Canada's 4,000 campgrounds. In a matter of minutes, you can hook up to the campground's water, sewer, and electrical systems, and your motorhome becomes a little castle on wheels. Everything you need for family comfort is inside the motorhome – you can even relax and watch a video on your colour television, or hook-up to the campground's cable system to tune in to the baseball game. Class B motorhomes are deceptively spacious inside, with comfortable accommodations for a family of four. The clever use of space allows a compact yet fully equipped galley, and a washroom that generally includes a full shower, and sometimes a bathtub! Experienced RV travellers choose the Class B motorhome for its compact exterior size and economical fuel efficiency. While you don't have the many luxury features typical of larger Class A motorhomes, you have a vehicle that's as agile as a minivan, and more than capable of filling the role of a year-round family vehicle. Many of the finer Class B motorhomes on the North American market are built in Canada, with special attention to our climate. Winterized water systems permit cold weather camping, and the RV furnace keeps the interior warm and toasty all year round. In the summer, awnings and air conditioners complete the option list, for a vehicle that's compact, comfortable, and ideally suited for extended touring.
