Go RVing Canada Privacy Statement

Go RVing Canada respects your privacy. We also strive protect the confidentiality of any personal information you may give us. We’d like you to know (a) the circumstances under which we collect information, (b) the kind of information we collect, and (c) how we may use that information.

We let you know specifically before we collect any of your personal information (details that can identify you as an individual, such as your name or address). We explain what information is being collected and how it will be used. You have the right to decline to have this information collected or transferred.

We will only collect personal information you choose to provide to us. We do not use techniques that collect personal information about you without your knowledge.

You may provide us with information on-line or in a telephone conversation. The information you provide will be securely stored. We are committed to maintaining the accuracy of your personal information for as long as it is being used for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Since we are unable to authenticate our Users, Go RVing Canada is unable to allow for Users to access their own personal information without allowing strangers who have access to their computers to access it. We believe that this would constitute an unacceptable compromise in data security.

On The Internet
Go RVing Canada takes on-line requests to send you our brochure. We will collect information on you, which may include your name, address, telephone number and e-mail. This data is captured and entered onto a secure server, which is not connected to the Internet. Within the office, your data is only accessed by Go RVing Canada staff.

Go RVing Canada may enter into third party agreements, from time to time, with carefully selected third party business serving the recreational vehicle industry (including RV manufacturers, RV dealers, campgrounds and other outdoor recreational entities) to share Users information so that they can provide our Users with offers we think may be of interest to them (such as information about RV products or services). These third parties have agreed not to release this information to others or use it for any other purpose than is necessary to full fill the agreement with Go RVing Canada, unless first obtaining your explicit consent to do so. When requesting an on-line brochure from Go RVing Canada you are required to opt out of or give your consent to these third party requests.

From time to time GO RVING CANADA may retain outside consultants to conduct surveys or contests. We may make contact information available to them to facilitate the process. However, this information is communicated to them under the stipulation that it will only be used for the survey. Participation in these surveys or contests is voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose this information.

How We Use Non-Personal Information
Webtrix Design (the webmaster for Go RVing Canada) operating system may automatically record some general information about your visit, such as:

The Internet domain for your Internet service provider, such as "company.com" or "service.ca" and the IP address of the computer accessing the website, such as "ppp-55" or “123.123.123.123”;
The type of browser (such as "Netscape version x" or "Internet Explorer version x") you are using;
The type of operating system you are using (such as Macintosh, Unix, or Windows);
The date and time you visit our site and the web pages that you visit on our site, along with the address of the previous website you were visiting, if you linked to us from another website.

We use this information for statistical analysis, to help us make our site more useful to visitors. We may disclose this non-personal information to third parties for auditing purposes. This tracking system does not record personal information about individuals or link this information to any personal data collected.

We may use "cookies" that identify you as a return visitor. A cookie is a piece of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store the cookie on your hard drive. We instruct our employees and computer service providers with access to your personal information that they must comply with the principals set forth in this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

Please keep in mind that whenever you provide personal information online, there is a risk that it may be collected and used by people you don’t know. Although Go Rving Canada strives to protect the personal information of Users of its website, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online and you do so at your own risk.

Unsolicited Direct Marketing
Under no circumstances do we sell or give our Users lists to others, except as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Users will not receive unsolicited electronic advertisements or message. Go RVing Canada provides links to third party websites. Our Privacy Policy does not extend to these third party sites. Go RVing Canada recommends that Users read the Privacy Policies of these websites. Go RVing Canada is not responsible for the content of, or the privacy policies of third party sites linked from the Go RVing Canada website.
