Where to go RVing?
Join an RV caravan – or attend a rally
Go RVing and make some new friends, too
Once you have an RV you will find so many opportunities to make new friends. Many RV manufacturers have user’s group who organize tours and rallies (group get-togethers). Also, the many RV clubs that you can join are organized to bring people of similar interests together to meet and have fun. When you travel with a group or attend a club rally you can visit new places, meet new people, and all the planning is done for you.
Try an RV caravan tour
If you are a bit nervous about traveling to far-off provinces, or possibly to the far-north of Canada, but are really keen to go, you should consider joining an organized tour. There are several available to such places as the Maritimes, Newfoundland, the Yukon and Alaska. Travelling together as a group with other RVers takes the worry out of long trips in your RV. The trip and many of the activities along the way are arranged by experienced people, with a Wagonmaster to lead you and a mechanic who takes up the rear … just in case.
Benefit from organized travel arrangements
When you journey with an RV group or caravan tour company there will be people organizing everything. They will plan the trip, book campgrounds and organize sightseeing, theatre outings and other entertainment along the way. With their local knowledge they will take you by the best route, to the most scenic spots and organize advance bookings at the best campgrounds.
Someone will point you in the right direction
Once you get off the beaten path it helps to have someone who knows the way. A tour guide will also take you right to those wonderful little hidden places you would never discover by yourself. And if you had, you would certainly have got lost on the way and spent a lot more time back-tracking. This also avoids those family arguments about somebody’s bad map-reading skills.
A long journey in your RV – without the hassles
These trips with a tour guide are a good way to make a really long journey seem easy. You will make good time on the road, take the best route and have fun on the way. And at the end of each day your campground spot will be waiting ready for your RV, and probably there will be a meal or a barbecue organized with the rest of the group, to make you all feel at home in a strange and unfamiliar setting.
