What kind of RV should I get?

Truck Camper

Designed to ride in a pick-up truck bed, the compact truck camper will often provide all the conveniences of larger RVs. The benefit to having this on-truck camper is that the truck is still free to tow boats, car carriers, ATVs, snowmobiles or even a horse trailer. The small-but-mighty truck camper will surpise you with its comfortable living features.

Size: ranges from 3.6 to 6.0 meters (12–20 ft)
Cost: starting from approx. $15,000 *
Sleeps: up to 4 people

* Prices of new units are quoted in $Cdn.
Used models also available at your local RV dealer

Features of the Truck Camper

An easy and economical option for anyone who already owns a pickup truck. Check the appropriate size and weight with your RV dealer.
The compact size makes this RV very handy for travel to and from the campsite, particularly over rough roads. The truck can also tow any trailer.
Detachable camping unit can be set on its own jacks, either at home or at the campsite, allowing the pickup to be used separately.
Efficient use of space is characteristic of these small units, but today's models offer a range of floor plans, including some with extended cabovers, popup roofs or slideouts, to maximize living and storage areas.
Amenities include: toilets, showers, kitchen facilities, and air conditioners.
Fully winterized versions for winter RVing, include a higher BTU furnace, heated tanks, upgraded insulation and double-glazed windows.
